Let’s look into the bag of Tatyana Podmankova, head makeup artist at the Glamour Shots location inside Edison Mall in Fort Myers, Florida.

Face

Foundation

“I don’t use foundation on a daily basis, but when I do, I use MAC foundation. It’s worth spending a little extra because an expensive foundation makes a big difference! The quality and results speak for themselves.”

MAC Cosmetics offers a variety of foundations for coverage from matte to sheer with liquid and powder options for all skin types.

Price: $27 – $35

Powder

“I just use regular CoverGirl powder. It’s affordable and I feel like my skin can breathe under it, which is awesome for the hot Florida temperatures!”

A trusted brand for more than 50 years, CoverGirl products are available at nearly every retailer with a makeup aisle. They currently offer 8 different types of pressed and loose powder with up to 12 different shades.

Price: $6.24 – $8.99

Blush

“When it comes to shopping for a satisfying color selection at the right price, I buy Coastal Scents. I own both their blush and eye palettes. Not only are they a great buy, they stay on all day!”

If you’ve ever found yourself wishing you had the perfect shade of eye shadow or blush to go with an outfit, Coastal Scents has a palette for you, including a 78-Shadow Blush Palette for just $15.

Price: $8.95 (12 colors) – $29.95 (252 colors)

Eyes

Eye Shadow

“I have hundreds of different colors, both in shimmers and matte, but I really like the quality of my Sephora palette.”

Quality is paramount when you buy Sephora’s eyeshadows. Each shade is formulated paraben-, sulfate- and phthalate-free.

Price: $12 (individual) – $599 (80-color palette)

Bonus tip: “If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on eyeshadow palettes, I recommend getting a good eye primer from MAC or Sephora. An eye primer will improve the quality of cheaper eye shadows, saving you money.”

Mascara

“I’ve recently started using Younique 3D mascara and I’m in love! Now it’s the only mascara I use. Other brands couldn’t do the job, but Younique 3D makes me happy.”

Get the lashes you’ve always wanted without dealing with adhesives and plastic with Younique’s 3D fiber lashes, said to increase your average lash volume by up to 400%.

Price: $29

Lips

“I use MAC lipsticks because of their unique color selection. They stay on longer than other brands, too!”

Choices, choices, choices – MAC’s standard lipstick is available in 181 shades!

Price: $16 – $25

“For someone who is into makeup and loves wearing it, there is never enough makeup! So just have fun with it, pay attention to the expiration date, clean your brushes regularly and try new things. When it comes to makeup and glamour, there are no rules. Whatever you use or do with you makeup, it’s all art. Don’t let anyone tell you differently!”
